I wanted let you know about an important new opening on the Financial
Services for the Poor (FSP) Team.
As you may be aware, our FSP team is initiating an ambitious project to
bring the world’s poor into the global financial system in an inclusive,
sustainable way and FSP’s vision is to accomplish this via interconnected
and open digital systems(for more information on FSP’s vision, you can
visit https://leveloneproject.org/

Enabling
all poor people to access digital financial services is a multi-decade
undertaking and the technologies that ultimately eliminate financial
exclusion may be different from those we employ today.
We are seeking an individual who will be responsible for identifying and
driving the creation of innovative technologies and business models that
deliver financial services to the poor globally. In particular, s/he will
be responsible for working with partners to prototype new approaches and
develop concepts for scale up, to create a step-change improvement in
delivering digital financial services at scale.
This is a technology focused position – which is why I thought of you.
Given your expertise and background, I thought you may know of someone I
should consider or could network with further about this opportunity. I
would welcome your thoughts and any confidential suggestions or referrals
you have. Please also feel free to share this selectively with those in
your network that may find this of interest.
Key attributes we’re seeking include:
- Core expertise in technology product development (ideation, developing
feature requirements, prototyping, designing, and field testing
applications for release)
- Expertise in emerging technology in mobile digital payments systems
(and associated financial services) is required. Breadth of experience
spanning related technologies (GIS, credit scoring, data analytics, and A/B
testing technologies) strongly preferred
- Strong preference for someone with experience supporting a developer
ecosystem through shared APIs, reference models, common standards, open
source platforms, and other techniques
This position will be based in Seattle, Washington USA. We offer full
relocation support, as well as a competitive salary and comprehensive
benefits package that reflect our organization’s values and culture. For a
detailed job description, you can find it via this link:

Thanks in advance for your time and any assistance you can provide. If
there’s anything else I can share that would be helpful, please let me know.
My best,
Jake
